5 Series

BMW’s model nomenclature was started by the 5 Series, making it’s debut in 1972. That initial E12 generation also introduced the company’s signature amber interior illumination, and was the company’s first vehicle designed with crumple zones. Like it’s smaller brother, the 3 Series, it has long been regarded as the best driving vehicle in it’s class, the perfect sport sedan for those needing a bit more space and luxury when not blasting down backroads.
