Our story

Founded in 1989, and situated at its current location on Kingshighway Blvd since 2000, Bimmers R Us has long been a one-stop shop for BMW drivers and aficionados of the region, offering exceptional service and sales of the brand from Bavaria. With the company’s continuing success, it quickly outgrew the primary location, and the idea of procuring a second location was brought forth - one that would not only serve as storage for a growing collection but also be dedicated to sales, while allowing the service department to focus on what they do better than anyone else in town.

As business thrived, the idea remained and, upon viewing the property at 2744 LaSalle St, was realized. Home of LaSalle Wholesale Florist for many years, its owners were retiring after decades in the wholesale floral industry; seeing massive potential, Bimmers R Us purchased the property in early 2019 and begun the long, sometimes arduous process of taking the building back to its bones, transforming it into a showroom and retail space. Renovating only where absolutely necessary, the goal was to preserve the character of the historic building and add to its existing story, not erase it completely. As the reconditioning continued, the initial plans grew as well - not merely a storage and sales location, Bimmers Curated would be a destination in and of itself, housing our extensive collection of BMW vehicles, parts, merchandise and memorabilia.

With its doors officially open since July 2022, Curated is a “cultural center” of all things BMW for connoisseurs nationwide and beyond. Though a large portion of the car business is done online these days, there is no substitute for experiencing the feel, sights, sounds and smells of these ultimate driving machines in person; furthermore, we thoroughly enjoy meeting people face-to-face, making new friends, catching up with old ones, and look forward to hosting car-themed events regularly as well.
